Great aussie review on the 3600 and 3600x cpu, in case you are looking for an upgrade like me.

Addition 09/07/2019 more informative review of the 3600: If you want to skip to the end for the reviewers comments, then go to 27:00 ..

Another great review of the Ryzen 5 3600x vs i7-8700K (the reviewer is very good): if you want to skip to the testing, then go to 10:45

The Ryzens are matching the 9900K in this review .
Very interesting to see that the 3600 and 3600X are both performing better than the 3700X and 3900X. I added a screetshot from Hardware Unboxed's test to compare. the 9900K gets the same fps in both tests but the difference between the ryzens is instantly noticeable.

This is almost certainly to do with the single CCX of the 3600 chips as found by Linus. Also they may be boosting properly while the 3900X isn't according to some reports.

More investigations are needed for sure but it looks like Ryzen is probably better than what the initial reviews are showing.

So the guy who has done this is certainly off. My 3600 with the same gpu doesn't get those numbers, I'm on the latest bios.

Given literally everyone else is seeing different numbers and his excuse of bios issues being debunked to some degree by Gamers Nexus I'm calling this as BS.

The 3600X shows impressive results in tests and the fact that it can take on the Intel 8700K while being much cheaper, and having a good CPU cooler included, really shows great value for money vs the 8700K.

Is your 3600 boosting to 4.2GHz in one or two cores at least. I've seen one boosting up to 4.3GHz on all cores BUT with PBO at +125.

I actually have a 3600X

Ill be honest ive hardly used it since building as im waiting on my AM4 adaptor bracket so I can mount my 360mm fractal AIO. Ive also decided to ditch my 1080 and go for a 5700XT and watercool it and expand my loop.

TLDR - Most ive seen is 4.3Ghz out of it on a single core.

I did get a 4.2Ghz all core overclock but that was

Me and my buddy built it up and we did a run on Tomb Raider with his 2080Ti by colorful and we got 108 fps at 1080p - not this 120+ fps this reviewer is seeing - and it must be said only he is seeing it. His 9900k got 127fps.

The value for money is outstanding at 1440p where I reside, but for those super high 1080p rates intel is still the way to go - anyone saying otherwise needs to have a word.

lol he is moaning that the £190 3600 is only getting 108 v 127 on a £450+ 9900K power hog, you need to have word with yourself ha.The 3600 feeds the 2080ti with ease and that is something else from such a cheap CPU.
