So to summarize

Looks like super cards are d.o.a

2060s gets spanked by 5700 on price perf
2070s gets spanked by 5700xt on price perf
2080s not out yet...

Coupled with limited stock and price gauging = fail launch
The 2060 Spanks the 5700 and even the 5700XT in some games and the 2070 spanks the 5700XT. It certainly isn't dead but I would like to see cheaper prices.

Got to love the way that the prices go up even when they are still on preorder, pretty hard to blame those on low stock.
Starts to make the deal on the ASUS model actually look worth it.

Wow wow slow down greggy.
Seems as if you are miss informed here. Granted it's only one benchmark but this 5700 OC smashed a stock 2080 son.....

That's a 330£ card beating a 800£ card. Let that sink in

The 2080 super is supposed to have the most marginal upgrade over its direct equivalent as well, which then begs the question of why you would choose it over the 2070 super which performs similar to the 2080

Hopefully some comparisons go up before they become available, don't need the hassle of getting my order cancelled once benchmarks are out

Don’t dismiss the fact 2080 Super has 15,500MHz GDDR6 compared to 14,000MHz on the other RTX cards.

Not sure why the condescending answer but you have gone for a benchmark thread of synthetic bench results and basing your opinion on that. I don't tend to play 3DMark so much and tend to play other games more so.

This is an actual decent game worth playing and here is the results.

LOL! One bench from Techpowerup @ 4k (which neither card is designed for) on a laughably optimised title.
I agree with you, the Xt is much closer to the 2070S than it is the 2060s whilst being the cost of the 2060s.

There is no doubt these AMD cards offer better price:performance and this is from someone whose last AMD card was a 5770
