Really hope they bring this to the UK like Ford have done with the Mustang, I've always wanted a C6 but LHD puts me off big time.

EDIT: Holy smokes how many buttons are on that weird pillar thing! Someone please start taking notes from Tesla already!

Another appealing facet: for $60k you get a mid-engined sports car with a naturally aspirated V8 that produces 495bhp at 6450rpm (well, at least it does with the performance exhaust).

In the US, $60k gets you a Porsche 718 Boxster with a 300hp turbo 4cyl.

Similar footprint to a 911, if anyone's wondering.

I like it other than the rear and the interior. I mean the rear is just sooo fussy :(

Doesn't really look like a corvette due to the styling working around the mid engined layout, which i thinkis a shame. If it comes to the UK at £70-80k it'll be a bargain though

$32k can get you a 460hp Mustang (or $47k if you want my spec)

Still an insane price for what is effectively a cheap supercar

Does it have the engine in the middle? Can it get from 0-62mph in sub-3.0sec? It is a low-slung sports car? Etc. Not all about power! Just makes things moot if you dial down to isolated numbers.

I can buy a 6.0 LQ4 from a scrapyard, put a cam and a set of heads on it, and sling it a C4 Corvette for about £12k all in (including the car) – and it'll make 460bhp. Would it perform better than either? No, not by a long stretch. :D

“there’s nothin’ like building up an old automobile from scratch and wiping out one of these Detroit machines. That gives you a set of emotions that stay with you. You know what I mean? Those satisfactions are permanent.”
