why would you want to get gouged on overpriced b-die ram?
it literally makes minimal difference on ryzen 3000 platform. see here: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...-2133-2400-2933-3200-3733-4000-4200.18860401/
get a set of e-die for £140 (120 euros) and be done with it.
Until very lately I didn't even know what B-Die was. And today I watched the techquickie on timings to try and learn something :)

So forgive a guy who doesn't know better :p

Its my first build in god knows how long, 12 years? if not longer. So I am slightly out of date :p

@Phate :p
in all honesty, better to save some money and get this instead:
Ballistix Sport LT BLS2K16G4D32AESB 32 GB Kit (16 GB x 2) (DDR4, 3200 MT/s, PC4-25600, CL16, Dual Rank x8, DIMM, 288-Pin) Memory - Grey

it's >95% performance of b-die ram for a lot less.

Still working on a possible 3700x build but after a local shop was running a weekend campaign, I ended up with this! :D

They buy bulk cpus and bin them to try and make money selling the overclocking potential.

So on account of them testing bulk cpus, if they're listing the 3800X as getting the highest frequency then it's a reasonable guess that, on average, the 3800X clocks higher.

Anyway what it means is, they are guaranteeing all core manual overclock of X.

There's not much of an overclock to be had but they're giving it a go anyway.
I was very happy with 2700x from them sold it on to next owner on ebay for SAME price as new 2700x costs :)

Dutch webshop Azerty shed some light about the European availability of AMD's Ryzen 9 3900X CPU. The shop is one of the biggest in the Netherlands and they confirm availability will remain poor for the foreseeable future.

The company representative says they've received over 100 unique orders with at least one Ryzen 9 3900X processor. This week they expect to receive some inventory but this will be about 10 units at most. Azerty is an AMD Official Launch Partner, which means they receive priority supply versus stores that do not have this certification.

In a follow up message, the Azerty guy reveals they got in touch with AMD Europe. They received the following message from a contact at AMD Europe:“Regarding Ryzen 9 3900X, it will likely be 2-3 weeks before we start to see available stock within distributors.”So basically, it will be hard to get your hands on a Ryzen 9 3900X this summer.

This is a long shot, but does anyone with any Zen 2 (ideally 3700X+) and a decent GPU (GTX 1080/Ti or any RTX card) own BioShock Infinite? Any chance someone could run the benchmark on 1080p/very low and give the overall FPS? A weirdly specific request I know, but I have a reason :p

what you doing that requires 6 hours of AVX2 load?
Rendering videos for my Youtube sometimes takes 12 sometimes 20 hours depends what project I'm processing.

And converting videos to my old plasma tv but that is going VERY fast on 3900x hehe.

So for someone that uses cpu for gaming and productivity it matters. Thats why I tested my cooling last friday see how it handles 220w constant draw by 3900x hehe

Actually regarding Silicon Lottery trying to sell binned 3000 series, they posted about it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/cg0f0z/addressing_some_concernsquestions_before_we/

They reckon they have limited future doing this. AMDs automatic boosting and Intel selling off the headroom they used to have means there's less reason for them to exist.
was same with Zen+ I had one of like 200 top bines 2700x they did cause was not worth it and only did 1 run of binning.

I take it they are very long then. A 12 min 4k vid only took 40 mins with my 1700 clocked at 3.9.

Too late for me now. I bought a 3700x.

I went for the 3700x rather then the 3800x for two reasons. 1. Price . Being close to £400 meant I probably should just get a 9900k instead considering they dropped in price. 2. The earlier indicator is that the 3700x and 3800x are about 3-5% apart plus Gamers Nexus review of the 3800x.

Hope I don't regret it as I had the money for the upgrade and almost bought the 3800x twice before finally going 3700x.

Good good. wherever you ordered the 3700x from it should be in stock and be shipped asap, for me i ordered on a friday from overclockers uk which is this website on friday and came monday so 3 days.

Yea i agree your saving money and the 3700x offers better value for the performance, 3-5% when compared to 3800x, it is like the same with cheaper ram and more expensive ram.

You won't regret it i am sure, as am happy with my 3700x.

Dan.

Its upscaling post processing gluing together ect. Takes a while to cut glue ect 7-8 hours of raw gopro footage.
The benchmark project that i got is 34minute long and on 2700x it took 47 minutes to produce ant thats with no upscaling to 4k. When u[pscaling 1080p to 4k times goes x3 :D

Like Menno Solo set from otr that was 6 hour long I'w split it in to Warmup phase Main phase Bangers phase and Classic phase.
https://youtu.be/dnjfKYfe6Fg

sadly due to health falling apart im limited to 4 hours/event nowadays. USed to record whole events got 4 spare batteries to swap over ect.
I'ts like I come back from event 6am spend 2 hours setting projects up for rendering click start smoke some weed and go to sleep hehe
