How do folks drop for a landing that is directly under or very close to the flightline? I’ve tried dropping late into a full speed dive, dropping early and travelling forward. But I always seems to be late to the party on those types of jumps.

I think the theory is you should drop 800m from the desired landing spot, going at 200kph until about 100m from it, then start your dive directly downwards so your chute opens when you hit max velocity

i never bother with that malarky just go straight down. :D always done that. so many you must do this , that, then you look at stats and they win like 2 games every season :p

far more essential is why are you dropping at a busy place ? trying to win not really great idea. for loot not really great either. as many are there so even a good loot place is split too much over too many people. so you could probably get more loot going to a quiet place. obviously if you just want a scrap fair doos.

few more days till big update cant wait. now back to vikendi for some more wins. :p

^^ Dropping hot is exciting and you get to know the areas really well upping your chances of leaving as the winners, and if you dont drop the fastest way when dropping hot you might as well forget it! Getting there first or at least on time is really important.

Landing on / under the flightline doesnt always mean hot dropping. But either way its still an advantage to land first or at least at the same. Most of the time I can manage that but for some reason landing on / under the flight line I always seem to be late.

out of curiosity, what gpu those benches using? i'll likely move from my 1600 to a 3700x once the dust settles and bios matures a bit more.

That's exactly what I'm looking at now, so thanks.

Currently running a Core i5 4690K, 8Gb RAM, and 1080 GPU at 1080 on 27" monitor, and I get anywahere between 80 and 100 FPS, so it looks like a small increase with a 3700X.

Never overclocked so I may look at that and see what results I get. Would love to be able to play at 1440p with high FPS but suspect that would also require a new GPU.
Looking forward to the update!

you would get a nice little boost. your cpu should do 4.4 -4.5ghz with decent cooling. its just weather its worth it. ideally at moment in gaming you want a fast 6 core cpu with high mhz for pubg. also not sure what graphics settings you use i run all lowest settings apart from texture ultra and view distance ultra when you get used to it its probably the cleanest looking vs best performance.
