The current one is a galaxy S8 but the battery is dead. Runs out extremely quickly and at random times, sometimes without use. Also resets randomly.

You can get the battery replaced. Though expect sending it to Samsung could be expensive. There is sure to be a fella locally that can replace it. Just an option though the S8 maybe never met your 15hrs anyway?

I got about 4 hours SoT from my S8, just with browsing. Nice phone, but disappointing battery. I used to have to top mine up twice a day, just in case the battery fell too low when I needed it.

Says the person who recommended a Nokia 3310 for 15 hours a day heavy usage. About as useless as it gets!

I made my suggestion further up the thread if you look. Nokia 8. Lasts me two days of fairly heavy usage, even at 2 years old. Never had a phone that can do that before.

You've not had a Lenovo P2 then ☺️
Always topped the battery tests.

I think you should be looking at the Chinese market, some of their phones have huge batteries

What do you use your phone for mostly? a quick search on GSMARENA (am I allowed to say it?) and filtering phones with battery over 4500mah should give you some good options. I use a P20 Pro, which has 4000mah and usually charge it every 2 days but depends very much on the usage I guess.

I'm in the process of replacing mine at the moment but trying to find a similar priced phone (£200) that has comparible spec and battery is im possible. I'm already in the process of sending back my week old Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 :(

I also recommend the moto g7 power.

I have one and...

I have ranted on about the moto g7 power in the past on this forum,

You can get 14-15.5 screen on time easy with the moto g7 power, the reason why i recommend is because of the battery life.

But i do not think you can replace the battery.

The moto g7 power is all about battery life and for under £200 it is hard to beat, it is one of those smartphones that has among one of the best longest battery life's you can get for a smart phone.

I don't know what else but you can get 14 or more hours of moderate and hard use with the moto g7 power with screen on time.

Give the moto g7 power a look into.

Dan.
