Vega'a are great for 1440p.

Why cant you pop in another stick of the same size from crucial?

Just grab another stick the same as you have, no point selling and changing, you'll just lose money.

Dont think he is listening. Its a cost yeah, but you will have 16Gb instead of 8Gb more futureproofing in one hit.

Yeah I'll lose money but it'll still be cheaper. Another stick is £90 I could grab a 2x8gb kit for £70 and sell my current stick so barely a loss

Thats your fault for buying firstly one stick in the first place and secondly one that seems to be expensive and harder to source!! :D

Don't think you are listening either - I would have 32GB instead of 16gb which is grossly unnecessary for anything in the next 5 years.

lol I paid £60 for a stick of e-die kit it was a good deal thank you very much :p

Isn't that lower speeds than what I have... my RAM is E-die kit and OCs very well to 3600CL16. I've heard LPX has issues with Ryzen 2.

They're not ideal but they'll run 3000 mhz fine, and they're cheap. If you want to spend more then ofc, get another stick of what you have.

kids are the fastest way to download ram?

the paid I price went up quite a bit
Ballistix BLS16G4D32AEST Crucial Sport at 3200

now £90+

This is one confusing post.

Do you know if 2x16GB Dual Rank is better or worse than 2x Single Rank

Suggest you Google difference between single and dual channel in respect of RAM

Definitely buy another 16GB stick. Personally I wouldn't worry too much about matching it exactly, although clearly you will want to get as close to 3600mhz cas16 as you can. My guess is dual channel 3200mhz will perform better than single channel 3600mhz.

Once you've overclocked the vega64 it wouldnt be worth while.

Actually not the case, especially in games which need to force P7 state as the minimum speed.
5700XT handles those games much much better.

The only drawback not many tweaking options like the Vega 64, otherwise personally finding the 5700XT is the better card.
Even with the blower cooler.

No doubt the 5700 is definitely the better card I'm just saying if you have a Vega64 already it's not a worthy upgrading imo.

"Upgrading" from Veg64 to 5700XT is probably like "upgrading" from 390x to 580 for extra 10% of so performance...hardly worth the effort and time.

Just wish AMD would release 5800XT already...something comfortably beating the 2070S and offering around 2080 level or more performance at £475-£499 would be golden, especially considering majority of the 2070S sit at the north of £500 rather than south.

It is NOT 10%. On my 2 DX11 games (ESO & WOT) the difference is pretty big.
On WOT I get 130-144 fps (144 capped) consistently even on the most demanding maps with trees and flora. Same places the Vega 64 couldn't go over 80-90fps, only on towns was getting 100ish. Hadn't seen 130-144 fps since I had the GTX1080Ti.

ESO, which requires from Vega 64 to run P7 state as minimum, even on the most demanding places like towns I do not get less than 55 fps and that is briefly for a second.
Usually stays 80fps in towns and >100fps overland with 133-144fps in dungeons. Haven't done any trial yet.

My heavily overclocked & watercooled Vega 64 had 35fps minimum and 38fps average in the same places in towns, around 80 fps in overland and 100-110fps in dungeons.
Dipping to 20fps many times in trials for long fights, and keeping an average barely 55fps in them.

And same occurs to SWTOR, another game requiring to have P7 state as minimum on Vega 64.

FYI The only thing I have done on my reference cooler 5700XT is to use the auto undervolt, lowering the voltage to 1132mv.
