Came very close to buying a new/pre-reg one but the limitations of the standard specification and the massively increased cost and wait for a factory order meant we didn’t.

Test drove several over a month or two.

We had a lease that had to go back, just wanted a standard Abarth but wanted parking sensors (standard on the turismo), wasn’t fussed about leather seats or most of the other bits on the turismo.

Standard cars were going for about 12.5k pre-reg. a factory order would have been over 15k and 3 months.... dealers couldn’t fit FIAT parking sensors at their dealership and I didn’t want an aftermarket option. One dealer did quote us less time but then had very mixed reviews and no car = no way for my wife to get to work.

Someplace close...
Had the old girl almost four years now, she's a stock 155 HP. Have recently been thinking about having her tuned to 175 HP....

Took photos as I am putting my Comp up for sale. If anyone knows of someone looking for a Comp with Performance Pack then drop me a line for more info.

Having made decision to pretty much sell the M3 as no longer used and then to move the Clio on as well the plan is to pretty much step into a standard Abarth, drove a stock 16 plate 145HP Abarth today and they are a lot of fun.

Very much like the Clio to drive but also with the added ability to be more refined namely AC and more toys.

Not really bothered on year or spec from what I know after 2010 suspension was improved and after 2015 power went from 135 to 145 is that correct?

Early cars didn’t have FSD shocks, a facelift 145hp 595 badged car is a good one if you aren’t too fussed about specification. Tbh you can still do a simple remap to 160/70 hp and they are a lot of fun.

I'd love a 595 look seriously good fun, never driven one but I'm hoping one day I might pick one up.

There's someone round my way with a Fiat Panda with Abarth badges and stickers (I think it's a 100hp) and an aftermarket exhaust, I'll try and get a photo next time I see it because it's hilarious!

Do you know what year the FSD shocks were introduced please and what difference they made?

I am not sure what year they were introduced. Buuuuuuut they made a massive difference to the ride quality. A good friend had a launch edition and it was brutally hard. Compared to my Comp which is greatly improved on the FSD's. So whatever you do....get one with FSD's!

If you are bothered about tuning, if I remember right the 160bhp and above models have the Garrett turbo which remaps to over 200bhp quite easily. Lower powered models have the IHI turbo.
