I grew up in Essex, spent 6 years in Edinburgh, 6 years in Taiwan, and have now had 6 months in a small east Yorkshire town. This has been by far the most difficult adjustment :p

So do we all agree Middlesbrough is in Teeside. After all it's only a line that divides North and South Korea lol.

I don’t think anyone disputed that it is in Teeside. Some people didn’t understand that it’s in Yorkshire and came up with some nonsense arguments in reference to local government that would mean York also wasn’t in Yorkshire.

Location
York
Lol I have been at work all weekend watching the chaos unfold on my phone. It kept me amused on some long shifts, working for the good old Yorkshire NHS lol.

So just to summarise,

Yorkshire's website says Middlesbrough is part of Yorkshire.

Middlesbroughs website says it's part of Yorkshire.

Wikipedia says it's part of Yorkshire.

The government says it's part of yorkshire

But you say it's not. So it's not.

:p :p

Funny reading this. Atleast Yorkshire doesnt have to have Hartlepool. South of the river has been North Yorkshire again since Cleveland was abolished.

There are far worse towns in Yorkshire though . The old mining towns are terrifying
