Wouldn't touch any 2080 now, as the 2070 Super is nigh on 2080 non Super performance, and with the Super of that, just a couple or so frames faster, they're both redundant.

Its either 2070 Super, or 2080Ti.

I don’t think it’s as close as your making out

I’d like to see some 2070 super timespy scores. I doubt they are that much better than my old non super 2070 that was coming out 10000 gpu score.

I am also in a similar boat - have a pre-order in for a 2070 super at £475 and then the next step up is the 2080 super at £699. However i read reviews that the 2070 super is basically just as good as the 2080 and then read reviews that the 2080 super is only marginally faster than the 2080

i cant find a generic table showing the stock frame rates for each card

thanks for replies! My thinking was....I could get a 2080 super and overclock it to see close to 2080 TI stock speeds...I could be naive but when I looked at Guru3d stock benchmarks for the super, this seemed possible (not including 4k). If it was possible then it seems worth the extra money to me considering a 2080TI will set you back over a grand and some.

Best timespy result I’ve seen for a 2080 super is 12500 (same as a non super!) , some way off a stock 2080ti which seem to range between 1400-1700.

An overclocked 2080 Super is going to be someway off of a 2080Ti (stock) in any scenario where the 2080Ti isn't being held back.

Now whether the difference will be noticeable or not is a different question.

(Note - I have a 2080Ti and my wife has a 2080).

Theres a Tomb Raider suite somewhere? Bit tech? The overall 1% low is about the same all the way from 1080 to 2080 super about 30 ish at 4k.

The 2080ti pulls away here by a much bigger margain. It is the onky card giving a near 2x uplift from a 1080. Because the rest are nearly all the same with the lows. Personally i think the 2080s is a real dud the 2070s the Asus evo was the real deal.

whats the better deal though a 2070 super asus evo for £475 or a stock 2080 for around £610
It’s 10-15% better performance for £130 more. A top of the line 2080 (non s) can stretch its legs from a super 2070, just check the reviews like tech power up which use the same games.
There does seem to be a ‘repeated’ mis-truth on here that a 2070 super is as fast as a non super 2080.

Whether the difference is worth it is another matter.
