£800ish build

So I've increased my budget for a gaming PC to £800ish

Only the system is needed. No OS. I think I'm settled on the H500 for a case

Will be for 1080p gaming. Do I go for a Vega or the 5700? Would appreciate some build suggestions

I use a H500 case, great case, good choice, stick with it, you wont be disappointed mate!

You have ~£200 for a GPU thereabout, probably worth getting a 2nd hand Vega 56 if you can. They are going for around £180 atm.

If you want a 5700 XT you're pushing the budget to ~£1000 region. Or ~£945 with a standard 5700 GPU.

Not really no for an £800 budget, it's pretty good going. You can't go any cheaper which would free up enough budget to get a better GPU.

GPU wise, I reckon a used Vega 56 will do you well anyway. If you feel the need then upgrade GPU again later when you have more dosh again. Although tbh the Vega 56 is a really good card still anyway.
