Hi Folks,

First laptop I have owned for about 10 years. always game with my desktop but new job has me on the road a bit. So treated myself to a Dell G3 3590, i5-9300H, 1660Ti 6GB. Much excitement!

Now back in the day I recall laptops being loaded with bloatware and having half the hard drive taken up with multiple recovery partitions. Is this still likely the case, and if so am I liable to encounter any issues if I do a fresh vanilla install of W10 from USB?

The Dell machines I've dealt with recently haven't been too bad for 'bloatware'.

Unless you've bought something with a tiny drive the recovery partitions aren't going to take enough space to worry about.

Why not start it up and see what they've installed that you aren't interested in? I wouldn't wipe and reinstall 'just because'.
