Hi al

The wife and I have been given tickets for a dfds Newcastle - Amsterdam mini cruise. We only have 5 hours in Amsterdam so looking for recommendations for somewhere nice to eat and something else to do.

You can leave out the red light district (we have two nights on board a cruise ship so we've got that bit covered ;))

Go!

OP
Febo. Best munchies food in the world.

Also, don't get your hopes up too much about the "mini cruise", it's a slightly glammed up ferry.

Oh, I know it's not going to be anything like a longer cruise but we've got the Commodore Deluxe room, looks ok, and eating in the bistro, not the buffet so should be tolerable:)

Maybe take a canal cruise.... hmmm, probably fed up of boats by then. ;) Take the wife to the flower market? Its really colourful and smells amazing. What about a visit to the Anne Frank House. Bit of history if that's your thang. https://www.annefrank.org/en/

PS, re your name... wish I still had my Amiga 1200. :/

Two places I would recommend and know you will not have a bad meal:

CAU Steakhouse Nice quality, decent food :)

Sazanka Teppanyaki Restaurant - Michelin Star so costs a bit more (spent £200+ just on a steak) but worth it all day!
