Planning ahead for 2020, and we're planning to pass through Italy from Austria on the way to France.

Having done some research Giau, Falzarego, Valparasolo, Gardena and Pordoi look like really good options for heading west, and entirely doable in a day with plenty of stops. But if we were to take a second day, are there any other passes that we should be looking at?

It's the only place I've ever ridden that rivals the alps for awesome roads. I can't tell you where I rode as I was on a group tour but it was amazing.

I'm not very useful in this thread...

Similarly I won't be as useful as I wasn't on a bike.

But I recently spent a week in Val Gardena & Cortina d'Ampezzo region going hiking with family, was driving a car unfortunately and spent the entire time wishing I was on a bike.

Scenery is unbelievable, loads of amazing passes and many bikers on tourers and supermotos! Very popular place with Germans as well as in many places German is the dominant language, not Italian.
