Upgrading to iPhone XS question

Hi there,

I’m thinking to upgrade my iPhone 8+ to either Xs or Xs max.

Can someone please confirm if mobile and WiFi reception on these 2 models are the same or better than my handset without any known issues?

I’ve seen some confusing reports online and would like to double check from any Xs owners if it’s possible.

I’ve got xs max and my girlfriend has got a 8 and not noticed any difference at all

Ditto above - and I’ll also add that if you’re upgrading from a Plus phone then get a Max just for the screen size.

This doesn’t answer your question, however going from an 8 plus to an 11 Pro max I’ve noticed improvements to both mobile and WiFi.

I’m not sure about the XS, but the 11 Pro Max has 2 more antenna bands when compared to the 8 plus.

I went from an 8 Plus to an XS Max. Very little difference - better screen, but no big deal in casual day to day use.

Its comments like this that keeps me using my 7+.

Next years iphone should be the worthwhile upgrade with the redesign, 5g, 6.7” pro motion display etc, etc.

I installed iOS 13 on an old 6s a couple of days ago and the software experience was more or less identical to that on my XS. In the short time I used it, I was impressed that there was little difference in overall smoothness.

About a month into a XS after years on Android. No issues at all with WiFi other than the POS Plusnet are passing off as a router
