You do have to wonder what exactly she would do in the real world. So simple to stay stop using oil, eating beef etc but putting that into practice? It would be good to hear some detailed answers.
It's like any addiction you really can't just stop.
Has anyone here heard of her actual solutions?
Andi.

Just whine until one or more of the below occurs:
1. 6 billion people are slaughtered
2. Trillions are spent on renewable energy
3. We go full nuclear
4. We go back to the 1700s; every person has the same sized house/land/income and level of 'life', and no one can be nasty to another

I watched a video where she was one of many young activists. There were others younger than her saying similar things, but for whatever reason she is the "chosen one".

12 year old is too young to fully understand the intricacies of a complex technological, political and economical issue therefore the killers of James Bulger are too young to understand what they did so should be 100% forgiven, no questions asked. That is basically what you just said.

Erm, no it wasn't. I think you need to have a think about the message a bit more.

Yeah thanks for your input Andy, we all thought the 16 year old will present her doctoral thesis on solving all environmental issues in the coming days. Christ.

She's great and i hope she continues doing what she's doing (shame she has to at her age).
Doing what?

It would be a tragedy if people like her ending up taking credit for the hard work put in by people who have dedicated their lives to solving these problems.

It's basically just an exercise in marketing (and I *hate* marketing!). Marketing isn't even a real job ;)

She is hellspawn, utilised to further the lies of other powerful hellspawn to goad mankind into mutual destruction and depopulation in the name of unproven environmental trends that have little to nothing to do with human civilisation.

Get in the sea. Jesus wept.
I'll just throw this out from the top of google for me:

Whatever Greta or her parents know or think, her eco-mob increases the likelihood of legislation and investment that will make colossal profits for people like,

For Sweden's energy titans, saving the planet means government contracts to print the green stuff.

Green energy lobbyists use populist scare tactics and a children's crusade to bypass elected representatives, but their goal is technocracy not democracy, profit not redistribution.

Greta, a child of woke capitalism, is being used to ease the transition to green corporatism...

Think I've pulled that from a rather different angle politically than what I agree with, but sod it, no one of rational thought should be taken in by this girl and the powers behind her, and that I can agree with.

I joined expecting to see some intelligent discussion only to find a bunch of grown men attacking a 16 year old with autism. Very big if you I’m sure.

If a 16 year old girl makes your skin crawl and not a pathological narcissist like Trump you might need to take a good look at yourself.

As for “she’s been brainwashed” - as someone who studied environmental science and politics, nothing she is saying is crazy or insane. The Amazon is burning, we’re in a mass extinction, weather patterns are becoming more extreme, etc. People with autism tend to have obsessive interests, a need for honesty and a strong sense of justice. No brainwashing required.

Tony Atwood (autism specialist):

“The person usually has a strong desire to seek knowledge, truth and perfection with a different set of priorities than would be expected with other people. There is also a different perception of situations and sensory experiences. The overriding priority may be to solve a problem rather than satisfy the social or emotional needs of others.”

She sees a serious problem that needs fixing.

I don't think anyone's denying that companies can profit from being green. Some massively. Technology can exist and improve without destroying people's lifestyles and the planet. I'd rather use my hard earned to buy from companies that gave a ****. There probably is an element of her being used, but if I were her I'd do the same. It's a win win for both sides, she inspires change for the benefit of mankind, the change brings profits for companies aligned with her interests, we all benefit.
