Cheers for the info Crowze.

Have to say I really like the look of the Multistrada and I think the Enduro looks even better.

Not a fan of the BMW and non of the Jap offerings come close on looks but plus side to something like the V strom 1000 is it's bulletproof.

£1200 is crazy money for the Desmo service but it seems to be the norm from what I've been reading and is really the only thing putting me off but I'm guessing a full service on a new KTM or BMW will be a similar price.

I'm pretty handy with spanners and always serviced my own bikes so I may be able to do interim services myself, possibly even belt changes as well but that DVT engine looks complex!

What kind of service is that though?

The Desmo service is quite comprehensive and only needed every 15k on the DVT model.

£300 seems cheap for a full BMW service?

I love it, it is the first bike I've had in a long time that puts a grin on my face whenever I ride it. Like a proper kid grin. It is nowhere near as practical as the GS but I can tour on it when I need to albeit not as comfortably. No regrets at all!

In the dry they are great and I get rear slippage only under heavy braking. In the wet on the road they are dangerous. They are coming off next week when I'm off and I'm switching to the Mitas E07's I had on the GS.

Traded my 2018 Honda cb125r in yesterday towards this little thing

2016 Suzuki sv650,l with 5500 miles on it. standard aside from the rad guard.

So much nicer to ride than the 125, it's nice to sit at 50-60mph without having 10k rpm screaming at me :D

Tail tidy will be on at some point, then probably a slip on exhaust as the standard is abit large and ugly.

Only just getting into biking. Picked up this Mutt Motorcycle Fat Sabbath 125 a month ago, and loving it so far.

Picked it up today. Haven't ridden since I did my test nearly two years ago. Was a little nervous but got along fine riding through Bristol in the rain and quite enjoyed it.

It's a 2010 GSX650F which is essentially a Bandit with faring (some other differences too)...feels like it'll do the job of commuting and longer trips quite nicely, especially for a first bike.
