Whatever takes your fancy.

I flip flop between Ubuntu and Fedora.

I've been a big fan of Fedora's clean Gnome implementation but I think I am going to give Ubuntu another spin.

1. Desktop folders
2. Minimize button on Firefox
3. Copy/paste via right click in terminal when 'always on top selected'
4. There seems to be more snaps than flatpak packages. That's not to say you cannt just install snap on Fedora but the Fedora devs have sided with Flatpak natively.

Another one you could look at is PopOs. It's essentially Ubuntu but with a different theme.

Or even Debian if you need ultra stability.

One thing to mention. If you need an unchanging system for a few years and don't care about the latest and greatest, choose the LTS version of the distribution you go with. This would rule out Fedora as every 6 months it gets updated.

The Debian based linux's (Ubuntu, Pop and Debian) will have LTS versions.

In all the offices I've worked the developers have either had Centos 6/7 or Ubuntu workstations.
