Trying to justify an upgrade to the iPhone 11, have a 6S Plus (with a new battery) and honestly im fine with it still feels super fast.

Anyhow was wondering if the 11s camera is good enough to replace my oldish Sony SLT A58 camera. I strictly only use the camera for stuff i sell on ebay, so lots of indoor / poor light shots. Not a bad camera, can take some good shots. Think its a 20mp, i dont know anything about photography just try to get some daylight as struggles a lot with just house lights.

So if i can get rid of my camera and iphone 6s plus will make the upgrade to the 11 a lot more justifiable.

11 Pro here. Absolutely stunning photography when I was on holiday. The wide-angled lens is fantastic and the post-processing on iOS13 is amazing.

I have several Canons (600D, 1D) and my phone was what I used.

I love photography and only use my phone now. All taken on an 11 Pro, lots of compression on these but super sharp on my computer...

It has got a great camera, but much of the ‘quality’ comes from processing.

A reasonable dSLR, even up to 10 years old, will provide superior photos. It may however take considerable more skill to do so than just picking up the iPhone.

That is what I am thinking as I am simply just pointing and clicking at the moment in auto mode.

Think I will wait till Black Friday before I make a decision.

Just passing thru this forum.. but just wanted to clarify the 'standard' 11 is only a single camera, compared to the triple? on the 11 Pro... Not sure which the OP was referring to, but if your looking for more than just point and shoot photos i'd be looking at the 11 pro

(also the XR is basically the same as the 11 spec wise, apart from the front camera and £100 cheaper)
