Low profile USB 3.0 header for use with O11 Dynamic build

Hi all, I am just finishing off a new build with a Lian Li O11 Dynamic and a Gigabyte X570 Ultra.
Is there a down facing usb 3.0 header cable that can be bent to feed the cable through the slot below the bottom of the MB? The braided cable I bought and the existing case cable have a substantial plastic sleeve around the plug that makes it impossible to cleanly route the cable without it sticking out into the case.
I bought a down facing usb 3.0 header adapter but there isn't enough clearance below that to plug the cable in.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have one of those adapters but there isn't enough space between the case floor and that adapter that faces down.
The USB 3.0 header cables have a stiff plastic cover round the plug that prevents bending the cable enough to fit into that adapter.
