OK, lead you in on a spurious title ( i had to Google Spell 'spurios' )

The legendary band from the eighties, Heaven 17, had this line in their song, Temptation ( see title makes sense now )

Everything I have is yours

I'm rather drunk, but what does this mean ?

A ) I'm very generous and you can have all my stuff ?

B ) I own nothing but have stolen all your stuff ?

Thanks

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from ....

It sounds like marriage vows. I become you and you become me.

Hang on - you are a little drunk and it is not even 9pm!

And what is a Sex Pistols fan listening to New Romantic stuff - Heaven 17 my giddy aunt.

Look lyrics are poetry and the secret to understanding it (speaking as your attorney) is to read the bit before and after. The song is about Temptation see,

So you are tempted by the ladies and gambling..... the song refers to make an offer - I can't refuse and come home and everything I have is yours i.e. we have had a chip shop-fumble lets get off home and you can put your finger in my belly button. You know heavy petting like at the baths.

So you snizzle my nizzle?

Heaven 17 Lyrics
"Temptation"

I've never been closer
I've tried to understand
That certain feeling
Carved by another's hand
But it's too late to hesitate
We can't keep on living like this
Leave no track
Don't look back

All I desire
Temptation
Keep climbing higher and higher
Temptation
Adorable creatures
Temptation
With unacceptable features
Temptation
Trouble is coming
Temptation
It's just the high cost of loving
Temptation
You can take it or leave it
Temptation
But you'd better believe it

You've got to make me an offer
That cannot be ignored
So let's head for home now
Everything I have is yours
Step by step and day by day
Every second counts I can't break away
Leave no trace
Hide your face

All I desire
Temptation
Keep climbing higher and higher
Temptation
You can take it or leave it
Temptation
But you'd better believe it

Step by step
Day by day
Every second counts
I can't break away

Keep us from temptation
Keep us from temptation
Keep us from temptation
Lead us not in temptation

All I desire
Temptation
Keep climbing higher and higher
Temptation
Adorable creatures
Temptation
With unacceptable features
Temptation
Trouble is coming
Temptation
It's just the high cost of loving
Temptation
You can take it or leave it
Temptation
But you'd better believe it

You've got to make me an offer
That cannot be ignored
So let's head for home now
Everything I have is yours
Step by step and day by day
Every second counts I can't break away
Leave no trace
Hide your face

Trying to find it
Temptation
You've got to get up behind it
Put your dime in the hot slot
Temptation
But it's a million to one shot
Temptation
You think that you're right
Temptation
Your gonna face it tonight now
Temptation
Give me a breakdown
Because it's time for a shakedown
Temptation [x10]

[repeat last verse]

Trying to find it
Get up behind it
Dime in the hot slot
Million to one shot
Think that you're right
Your gonna face it tonight now
Give me a breakdown
It's time for a shakedown

Yes to more of this kind of stuff.

But also no, you're subjectively wrong. Sometimes a rhyming verse or couplet is just that and it works because it fits to the metronome. It's not uncommon for words to be forced into the shape of the song because of their syllable content rather than their meaning, the caveat being if you're unfortunate enough to listen to, or worse be involved with, experimental jazz or some other horror.

Everything I have is yours

Heaven 17 were known for being drunk whilst writing lyrics and this was a working copy song that was accidentally leaked in the 80s.

Over the following years the song went through a number of record companies and rewrites until Bryan Adams sang it with the new title "I do it for you". It needed a new decade, a new set of tonsils.
