We have also moved our memory pricing on several Team Group and Corsair parts if you search the shop you will find 8G and 16G 3200MHz kits for £35 and £65 which is a great price.

Good price for a 9700K.

In the here and now its just as fast in games as the 9900K, and I've observed when disabling HT on my 9900K, turning it into a 9700K, single core performance goes up by about 5-10%, depending on the game/benchmark, at the same clockspeed as well.

Value is subjective though rob, would I pay over a grand for a gpu not a chance but then a few years ago would anyone have been willing to pay £800?

We've already seen a 2080ti under £900 I'm hoping a few of the others will follow suit especially with all the current rumours surrounding the nvidia roadmap

I suppose in your current situation, something nice like a 2080Ti to keep you occupied is well worth it.

That's why I spent so much on a new PC, because I'm virtually housebound. Stops the boredom somewhat.

Yeah that's the thing, I don't get to go out much its usually either hospital appointments or visiting family. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs so this is my one vice. Besides I tend to sell my old hardware to offset the cost and a 1080ti still has some value.

I can relate though Rob I'd be lost without my pc now it does help keep me sane
