LG C9 OLED.

G-Sync
HDMI 2.1
4k/60 or 1080p/120
HDR; Dolby Vision; HLG
Amazing picture quality, response times and input lag

You might think 55” is too big. It’s not.

Far and away better than anything sold today as a monitor.

Thank you. I hadn't considered a TV. I think I'd need a bigger desk though.

I have an OLED and love it but I wouldn’t use it solely for a monitor. For anything first person even with a mouse it’s not brilliant and my 165hz monitor is a lot better in that regard.

For RPG type games then it is amazing and of course films and tv.

It does need varied use though, soley as a monitor runs the risk of burn in over time.

Not many people have a 165hz monitor to compare it to. The 120hz offered by the C9 is more than sufficient -especially if you’re used to 60hz- unless you’re in the upper 20% of pro gamers.

The g sync support baked into the 2019 models makes for a very compelling proposition.

As for burn in. Other than not watching 24/7 news channels, I’ve taken no special precautions other than sticking it on game mode and enjoying.
