The pricing is ridiculous on the 2080 Super considering it's more or less a 1080Ti again.

If I had a 1080Ti I wouldn't even be looking at RTX cards but the only sensible option is to sell my 1070 and get a cheaper 2070S as a stopgap and then swap it for a 3080 or something.

worst advice ever.

Spend £350-£450 on a second hand card. When he can get a 2070 super for £450 with COD and a brand new warranty.

OP get a 2070 super. i game at 1440p and 165 hz and i just bought a 2070 super. waste of money going for the 2080 super as the extra £150-£200 you get at best 5-15% boost.
Yeah. I don’t get why anyone is paying a penny more than £300 for a second hand 1080 Ti.

This seems counter-intuitive due to the launch of 3000 series apparently being soon

Well, 3000 series is at least June 2020, I think late August or September is more likely and there are things I'd like to play that don't run brilliantly. We don't know anything about pricing or specs as well. If it was January, I'd totally wait.

Aren't you yourself swapping your 980Ti for a 2070S and then maybe switching to the 3000 series? Or did you decide to wait in the end? I believe you said something along those lines, sorry if I'm mistaken.

I believe @Boomstick777 has one of these and rates it.

Do a search on his posts about it.

It's a very fast card. I passed mine on to someone else though, looking for something a tad smaller. The card was sitting on sata slots xD, didn't realize at first, until one of my drives vanished xD

Back to GPU limbo for me, looking at possibly a hybrid blower AIO card. Should better fit my case and keep nice and cool too.

Pats 1080Ti I'm more than happy with for several more years.

And I've only just jumped up to a 1440p monitor! :D
