Can I replace this fuse just be flicking the switch off on a unit like this or do I need to isolate it at the mains? ie Is the switch before or after the fuse?

Just a faff as it's in our office is all and it's not at all obvious which switch at the fuse box controls it (the switch itself is for the hand dryer) and I can pretty much never turn off the whole mains.

Has it blown then?
If its blown removing it whilst blown shouldnt tip anything.
Your risk is when putting it back in, as in then it would remake the circuit and could blow as your inserting it. But if the switch is off when you do so then you shouldn't be able to draw any current.

Nevermind, it's not the fuse, it actually pulls out in a tray so there's no way of seeing the contacts. Swapped the fuse with the other hand dryer and the other one's fine.

I've opened many of these fuse doors before without isolating from anywhere else first.
