No harm in isolating it, I certainly would. It shouldn't be live though when switched off.

Just a faff as it's in our office is all and it's not at all obvious which switch at the fuse box controls it (the switch itself is for the hand dryer) and I can pretty much never turn off the whole mains.

Might be worth popping it open and having a quick look! (remove fuse first :p)
Could well have a lower rated internal fuse that has blown, quick easy fix if that's the case!

They're designed to have the fuse replaced 'live', also there is no internal fuse as crazy suggested.

Look up a fused spur for more info.
