in the same house but with 2 pc's?

You could look into family sharing on Steam, might help some of your problems.

It states 'same computer' at times but I think multiple devices work.

If you both want to play online at the same time then no.

To play single player games on Steam you can log in to both PCs with one account and go to offline mode on one of them. Not sure if it works with origin or not.

I suspect if you log in to origin on one PC and then on a 2nd it will just kick the first one off.

In Steam you can use offline mode to play single player games. Multiplayer won't work because you can't have 2 players using the same CD-key, that never worked.

Assuming you're talking about multiplayer, then it doesn't work in steam unfortunately, you need 2 copies of the game on separate accounts :/

Edit: some games might work for LAN multiplayer if you set steam to offline, and they don't need to connect to steam servers at all

Hi, thanks for the replies, it looks like there both the same one can play online and one off line but no way to game with both been online
