Hi guys

I have bought myself a Remington tyrant rifle for target shooting. It came with a scope which is a bit crap tbh. Can anyone recommend a replacement scope for max £100?

FYI It’s a springer.

Before you spend on a scope, learn how to strip it and clean up the internals.
It's a rebranded SMK XS19 with a shroud so like most Chinese rifles it is rough out of the box but has potential once cleaned up internally.
Tuning kits for the XS19 are readily available.

It's been a long time since I posted in this thread and of course, I've still got them.

From top to bottom:
Orion 6

Target Trophy (limited edition)

Here's the two Orion 6s by themselves.

And then my Taurus, although this has a nice wooden grip now.

Most CO2 powered pellet firing pistols appesr to be non-blowback unfortunately, which might (in theory anyway!) make them a bit more suitable for target shooting.

I ecently purchased a Dan Wesson Valor 1911, which uses virtually the same magazine system as the Gamo PT-85m, for just under £100, but again is non blowback.

Don't suppose you would be interested in .177 BB firing pistols, would you?

Anyway, I will be interested to hear what else is suggested... and also what you finally end up with!

Good Luck! :)

@Feek Why you haf to make me sad? :(. Awesome collection, more than a little jealous. Always wanted one and almost ordered the basic black one that was always on sale for £99 in the airgun mags, but the ban came in just before I got around to it.

Still doing it.
I've picked up a Webley MkVI service revolver (CO2 in .177 pellet).
Great fun for making tin cans spin but not brilliant accuracy.
Reminds me of my old Brocock.

Did you hand it in when they were banned? Should have applied for an FAC.
I think we had this discussion 3 years ago in this thread! Yes I handed it back in as I only found out about the ban a couple of days before it came into effect after spotting an editorial while browsing a airgun mag in the local newsagents.

edit: actually 10 years ago!

10 years, where is the time going :( Still remember posting in this thread like it was a few years back, not a decade...

Still got all the same airguns here, a Webley Tomahawk, BSA Lightning, Weihrauch HW98, Weihrauch HW97, Cometa 300 and various other co2 pistols. That reminds me, I really should get them out of the gun bags and oil the metalwork, haven't touched them for years.

I was lusting after a Weihrauch HW77 with open sights and the Green laminated stock from Germany, but the pound took a severe nose dive and it wasn't a great deal any more. Hopefully Brexit doesn't bugger up importing from the EU..
