Why do not stop the radiator fan?

I have (VW GOLF 2009 GTi 2.0 T) car and the problem is:
Whenever you start the car, the radiator fan starts to rotate at full speed and never stops!
After the computer revealed this phrase:
"engine coolant temperature sensor 2 circuit high"
Do I need to switch CTS?
Currently I removed the fan fuse, does this hurt the engine?

Sounds like you need to test/replace coolant sensor 2.

If removing the fuse stops the fan entirely you may risk overheating the engine.

Or the wiring associated with it. but yes a sensor failure is most likley.

It would be interesting to see what temperature the ECU thinks the engine is actually at (The Scanner should provide this information in its live data page)

Unless one is crawling/idling in central London or somewhere for hours on end you are unlikely to cook the engine at this time of year since simply moving and using the heater will probably provide sufficient engine cooling (Or even in the spring/summer most of the time) But you could run into problems if it became warm enough to use the air con.

Personally I'd put the fuse back in and put up with the fan noise until you get it sorted.

Whilst I dont disagree necessarily with the above that it's very unlikely to overheat this time of year, for the sake of some fan noise I wouldn't risk it.
