I know this thread is older but I want ask something about Overclocking Intel 2500k.

CPU INTEL i5 2500k 3.30Ghz - Boost 3.60Ghz

- I will purchase Cooler Master Hyper 212 Red LED
-
I can overclock with this cooler?
- How I can safe overclock?
- What is the best speed so I can overclock without damage CPU?

Hi, the hyper evo will be fine and you should be able to reach 4.5 with that cooler, overclocking is never 100% safe but try to keep vcore under 1.4 and temps under 75c and it should be fine.

Thank you friend. You can send me here tutorial how I can overclock? I know that some in BIOS, but I want be sure and follow tutorial. This is my first time overclock :)

My 2500k went to 4.2GHz by just changing the multiplier. Didn't even need a voltage tweak or anything and has been sold for four years now.

Thank you friend. You can send me here tutorial how I can overclock? I know that some in BIOS, but I want be sure and follow tutorial. This is my first time overclock :)
It’s easy, set multiply to 40 Stock bolts and bench if stable increase to 42 until you get to 45, you might have to give it some volts 0.100v at a time but Don’t go above 1.3v.
I got 4.5 at around 1.2v, 4.7@ 1.35v and a lot of heat.

There used to be a sticky in the cpu sub forum

today I upgraded Cooler Master and bosot my CPU, I want everyone check HWMonitor screenshots and let me know if need change something

I set only on 4.2 GHz, what you think about my voltage? It's fine?
