Considering this is single digit FPS off a 2080 this is an amazing card at an amazing price. It pushes my 3440x1440p ultrawide very well indeed.

But the price is rock bottom and KFA2 had nothing else to give.

If the pound can reach 1.45ish then we could achieve it and the pound has improved allowing us to hit this price.

Simple fact is I believe we were cheapest at £450 on a 2070 Super and this new price just extends our kicking competitor butt even further.

£350 for a non-blower 5700XT. This makes the 2070 Super a little more appealing but I'd still go for the 5700XT. Like said above, £400 and it's neck and neck.

I haven't seen an AIB that cheap, 5700XT is the winner if that's the case.

He said AIB models though. Those prices are for the terrible reference cooler. The Strix version of each is £100 more expensive.

Hold out, we may get the next generation being way cheaper thanks to the PS5 and Xbox series X. GPU prices also dropped a lot after the ps4/xbone. 750ti matched those while being dirt cheap, and the 970 as you mentioned blew them away for £260-280.

No one will buy a 5700xt/2070 at current prices if the rumors are true and it has a better GPU than a 5700XT in a complete box for £400-500. 3070/6700XT with 2080ti performance at £400 or lower im waiting

Agree completely. My current 1080ti (bought from OCUK after the prices dropped dramatically following the 20 series release and mining collapse) isn't exactly struggling, so I'll be holding fire for quite some time yet.

Did prices really drop after ps4/xb1 release? I think in 2012 I paid about £206 for a Radeon 7950. I kept it until Jan 2017 so didn't buy anything during that period as I wasn't happy with the levels of performance increase on offer for the money.
5700XT seems to be the way to go at the moment. September last year I ended up going to the second hand market (never done that before for a GPU) because I couldn't find anything worth buying new for under £300. At least the 5700XT looks competitive.

The issue in recent years is that midrange cards have been coming out with big price tags yet not actually being as fast as top end cards of the previous generation or offering a material improvement over previous gen. In years gone by I would typically upgrade every 1.5-2 generations to an upper-midrange card around the £150-£240 mark.

So here we have a 2070s at £435, that's basically giving you something midway between a 1080/Vega64 and a 1080ti, not saying that makes it a terrible price relative to the pricing of those units but I'm comparing it to a range nearly 3 years old.

I don't think they dropped, 970 was fairly cheap but that was probably due to the fact they pushed them out on the very mature 28nm process.

£400, double the warranty and I still feel it's over priced. Not OCUK's fault, just the sad state of nvidia greed.
