My son is about half way through the 1989 Batmobile set.
The structure is so solid - pretty sure I could drop it and nothing would fall off. Everything is supported by multiple pegs - e.g. each rear axle is held in place by 10 pegs and an anti-roll bar for safe measure :)

The Batmobile is finished.
It's big and will just about fit on my shelf with a case over it.

It has working steering, the mid mounted guns pop-up when you turn the rear flamer and the cockpit slides forward.

That Batmobile looks fantastic ... I want it but have no shelf space left to put in anywhere. One of the problems with Lego sets - space !

Spent the afternoon building the Lego City Train for my 4yr old. He helped until the 3rd of 5 books then he got a little impatient.

Back breaking work but he loves it. Just have to get some rechargeable batteries now.

I was tempted to get a Lego train set for my son as he likes Lego and loves trains, but I feel they're just so overpriced (and thats coming from someone who thought the falcon was not overpriced:D).

I got the train for my two too, probably the same deal. They have been playing with it on the kitchen floor. Got a few extra track sets as well. Goes much faster than i was expecting

Yeah I need to get some more track for it. It's quite expensive though and need a few packs. January is always tight so he'll have to wait until February. Been looking at compatible track but ot seems just as expensive if not more. 2nd hand might be my other choice. Save the planet n all that haha

I reckon that eBay must have some track (it's where I've been stocking up on Brio). I did some filing today as well, the Lego manuals for the models I've got fills 3 box files:D.
