I recently bought a refurbished Lenovo T580 which has an Intel Core i5-8250U Processor, 4gb of ram (Samsung M471A5244CB0-CRC 4GB DDR4 2400Mhz ).
I do feel the laptop is a bit sluggish and running windows 10 pro x64. On a benchmark test the hard drive seems to perform well. I know im better off having 8gb or ram. Would this make my laptop and faster adding another 4gb. Should i add another 4gb module as there is a spare slot? Would i benefit from buying a faster 1gb module? I only use my laptop for general use but i was expecting it to be a bit snappier.
spec sheet T580 -
Intel SoC (System on Chip) platform
32GB max / 2400MHz DDR4, dual-channel capable, two DDR4 SO-DIMM sockets
* System clocks down for processors with lower memory controller
