Hi,

Total noob at memory o/c, so been following some tutorials on how to o/c my Dark Pro 8PACK 3200mhz 16gb kit.

3600mhz kit was out of stock, so I purchased the 3200.
They run great at 3200, CL14
I can o/c them to 3600, CL16 - can’t seem to get CL14 stable......or do I just need to persevere and keep trying?
Boot into windows fine but get errors on testing.

Thanks

Try 3800/16 or 3733/16 if it's not stable, remember when you go above 3600 ram you need to manually set infinity fabric clock so for 3800 ram you would set fclk @1900 and for 3733 ram 1867 fclk.

If you want more stability - gear down is a significant setting that needs to be enabled.
Note: PS An odd CL setting is not supported, so CL15 would become CL16 in your bios if Gear down is enabled.

Memtest completed last night with no errors, safe settings.
For some reason though it showed my ram as set at 3600mhz - when in the bios it is set at 3800mhz
Above are the current bios settings, what am I doing wrong or what am I missing please?

What is the ram showing at in cpuz or hwinfo?
Sometimes the bios can have a couple of different areas to set ram and one might take precedence over another.

Hi,
In CPUZ it is showing as 1900mhz DDR - so 3800
Seems strange that Memtest sees it as 3600?

What settings do I need to start tightening, from the safe settings please?

Ok done that and it ran through Memtest ok.
What do I need to tighten next please?

Thanks

Try with gear down off but if that don't boot or throws errors then just try lowering trfc to 280 then call it job done.

Also it's a good idea to take pics on your phone of all the ram timings in case you update bios in the future as it sometimes doesn't let you reload a saved bios profile after flashing and you have to input them in manually again.
