Mancave

I'm in the process of going through planning for a mancave/study (and a utility room for the Mrs, who says I'm not generous). So my question is that there is an electric meter in the way (mine) as I'm building on the front of my garage. Has anyone had the meter moved before (if it even needs moving) and does the incoming supply need moving, and if so how the hell do you organise the whole thing. I have no issues leaving it where it is and having a picture over a cover. I reckon dot and dab + plaster would cover it.

I've emailed northern electric, I'll do the same with who I pay. It's a shame I can't just leave it where it is.

I had a response, looks like i can get away with leaving it where it is. I can put a nice nerdy picture over it to complete the mancave look.

Semi-related - There was some show on tv a few weeks ago about fake cigarettes being sold from newsagents. In one newsagents, they found a hidden cupboard behind a fake electric consumer unit . The consumer unit even had lots of wires coming out of it so it looked like the real deal.

I could hide a picture of a safe over the meter, but under another picture (of the wall). Does that count?
