How to deaden sound of keyboard/mouseclicks through wooden desk?

I got a silent m/k and they are being negated by the reverberation through my desk. I don't want people hearing my frantic mouseclicks when trying to attack enemies in games at 1am.

One of those big cloth rubber backed gaming mats
I got a rog one free with something I bought and used that
As got a metal mouse pad already

Using one from Overclockers, it's very nice.
Also protects the desk.

yeah mine covers huge area of the desk
was £35 at the time i got it free

cant even remember what i bought to get it lol
its this one--no fraying of edges or anything after a lot of abuse from me
not one of those tidy desk people lol
