Why aren't there MOWO (Music of White Origin) awards?

Is that right? It seems to me there is loads of recognition of black music at the Brits  perhaps even more recognition than white music/artists get

When they started out there was next to none. A their music has become more popular it has then become mainstream and as you say now all white people are now listening to it so it's fully integrated now.

It's why you have things like the Brit Asia Music Awards. For music and artists of asian origin.

I haven't seen any of the type of artists and music there getting any time at the brits or mobos.

So now they have kept on doing it because it's what everyone does. Have a yearly award ceremony.

Do we really need both an oscars and an academy award winners show? Plus all the rest for the tv and music industry.

Surely music awards are music awards. If you are good enough, you get one...

Making a special award just for one type of music makes that award much less prestigious.

Only a minority in the western world. Black people outnumber white people by a massive amount.

Is there a "white music award" in Nigeria? :D
