Nvidia 1070 or 1660 super

As title pc consists of
Amd 3600x
16 gig ram 3600
Gagabyte xt70 elite motherboard
And is used for gameing 1440so
question is which would be best option as 1070 has I gig ram but 1660 is quicker and newer tech

That's what I'm leaning towards the only thing worrying me is the vram just been looking at the 2060 super now lol

The RTX2060 Super and RTX2070 are close in price BTW. I have seen RTX2070 cards for around the £350 mark. Also as you have a 1440p monitor like me,I would go for an 8GB VRAM card - there are also sub £300 RX5700 cards if you want a cheaper option.

Thanks for the info mate I've been out the loop a few years now my last card was a gtx 780 lol going to have a good look round at different options the narrow it down

Depends what price we talking about? If is something close to 250, the 5600XT is better card and so are second hand V56 & V64s. Also the 1660Ti is faster than the 1660S

I looked at the 1660 ti it has ddr 6 and is a bit faster don't want amd want to stay with Nvidia really because of driver issues whilst I've had amd cards with out any problems before its for my son who doesn't know much about pc stuff so if he had problems I'd have to go round and sort it all the time lol thanks for your input though
