Will steel rsjs set 600mm in concrete (clay conditions) with 800 above be sufficient to hold back the garden above. Between I’ll be putting 1200x100x200 sleepers in. Total span 7.2m. I know I’m been vague if any more information is required I’ll happily reply .

When you say "hold back the garden above" are you talking about a garden and a different level, making a raised bed, or something else?
Maybe some pictures could help your reply.

I can't see that going anywhere. 600mm set in concrete every 1.2m is pretty substantial. If you've got any doubts add in some steel bars running vertically through the sleepers into the ground in between.

The biggest problem with clay soil is its tenancy to heave as it compacts when wet then dries out. I'd personally make sure the level you are building up by 800mm isn't clay or build up with some hardcore/stone next to the wall.

thank you for the advise. I’m planning on leaving 100mm extra at the base then building the surrounding areas with type one compacted. That should give it some extra strength. As for behind the wall I’ll place a 4” perforated pipe with 3/4” stone separated with fabric so no dirt mixes.

Sounds like you aren't messing
Around
That should hold back most things
Though a photo would be of use

Ive done plenty of research into how to etc. I’m not new to DIY just been extra careful with this project. Don’t want it to fail as I’m not a professional.

here’s a picture of my garden. Once the wall is in I’ll be cutting back again and pretty much repeating what I would be doing to the lower section.

Research and preparation
Is very sensible
Do the job right the first time
Doubt you will fail
You seem to have thought carefully
About it
If anything may be more than
Is required
But that's not a bad thing
Rather it was twice as strong as
Needed
Than only just strong enough

Seriously why do you format your posts in that ridiculous way? It doesn't even resemble anything it's as though somebody has cut and pasted random words and sentences. Strange.

Nor am I writing limericks :):)
I space text weirdly due to Dyslexia I can't parse blocks of text
properly,thanks for understanding :):):):)

Can you see my signature?
Even if you can't
That's a rather harsh
And impolite way to speak to people
When simply asking
Is there a reason for spacing
Your text like that
Would suffice
If you for example had a bad leg
I wouldn't dream of saying
Seriously why do you walk in
That ridiculous fashion
Or do some people think manners
Don't apply on the Internet
Yes I have a form of Dyslexia
That stops me being able to parse
Text properly
Especially blocks of text
While my spacing may be unusual
It's not harming any one at all
And the poetic prose
Or limericks jokes about it I can
Usually take in good humour
Rude or just plain impolite remarks
Are totally uncalled for though
Guess I am in a touchy mood
Today
So that's my rant over and not
Commentating further on
The matter as no desire to be
Arguing over it

Not wanting to derail this thread, but pray tell if you can't format your replies in a normal fashion how are you able to read everyone else's comments?

Doesn't really add up.

I have to read and reread
them multiple
Times
Even then I may miss parts
Or misread /misunderstood parts
Maybe you nocited that
My replies aren't immediate?
I explained it already
And have no desire to argue over
The fact I have a disability and am
Dealing with it the way that works
For me
If my posts are not to your
Liking then please
Just bypass them in future
And this time
Really is the last reply from me
On the subject
