I don't like that my taxpayer dollars are being spent on a vanity wall too when he promised that Mexico would pay for it.
Trump doesn't see it as a vanity wall. Pelosi has fought him a lot over it, even to a record length freeze in wage payments to goverment staff, in order to get it funded - she didn't budge.

I think it'd be good to clear up his Russian interests once and for all by him releasing his tax returns
Won't happen, and why should it.

another promise he doesn't seem too eager to keep.
he's now a politician, it's what they do - over-promise and under deliver.

You're extremely naive to think that Trump doesn't say one thing in public and another in private.
They all do.
What about the tax cuts - in public he was saying "My rich friends hate me because they're paying more tax" and then in private he's saying "I've made you all rich".
source? I don't know this but again not impossible.

Trump isn't looking to line the pockets of himself and his corporate sponsors?
Which sponsers?
He's rolled back so many regulations on protected government land so that companies can drill there
Dick move for sure.
he's allowed companies to drill in new locations off the american coast (apart from near his resort in Florida)
Another disk move.
he is constantly at his own resorts where the cash goes into his own pocket (taxpayers paid $3.4m for him to have a superbowl party with his friends, not an official event)
A president needs to relax bro'.
If he was a billionaire and not out to line his own pockets, don't you think he'd pay for it himself?
Depends if it was business or pleasure, if he was entertaining bigwigs for USGOV or his own pals.

Panting like a fiend
Back to Sneering Corner where they have mod protection.
What mod protection?

We're trying really hard to be far (probably too hard in some cases), but when you've got the likes of memes and long debunked CT's being posted continuously by one side of the conversation rather than any form of debate with evidence it goes against the basic premise of SC and eventually (after many warnings) results in people losing access.

But yes, it's all a big conspiracy by the moderating team who are extremely well known for being far left socialists to make SC an "echo chamber". :/

It's not important for the President to be transparent about his financial interests?

he's now a politician, it's what they do - over-promise and under deliver.
Right, so is he doing what he promised or not?

They all do.
Right, but apparently this is a reason why Hillary couldn't be president so why is it ok for Trump?

source? I don't know this but again not impossible.
https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...ar-a-lago-you-all-just-got-a-lot-richer-after

"You all just got a lot richer," Trump said Friday at a dinner at Mar-a-Lago, two friends at a table near the president told CBS News.

https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2017/09/trump-tax-plan-benefit-rich/541584/

“Our framework includes our explicit commitment that tax reform will protect low-income and middle-income households, not the wealthy and well-connected,” President Trump said in a speech in Indiana. “They can call me all they want. It’s not going to help. I’m doing the right thing, and it’s not good for me. Believe me.”

Which sponsers?
Fossil fuel companies, NRA, etc
Another disk move.
Floppy disk? :D

Not on the tax payers dime though when they claim to be also be billionaire. People have argued that his disrespectful actions towards the national anthem dont matter because it wasn't an official event so apparently it was his own pals. Obama held his at the White House, Trump held his at his private club where the money went directly into his pocket.

Apparently some of us have made you lot ban their ilk from SC ignoring your own rules/guidelines. Paranoid or what.

Not for no reason, no.

He's trying.

In an ideal world it's not fine, at all. I would love a world where politicians had to tell the truth 100% of the time, but it's not ever going to happen. It's why most politicians are lawyers, or in that field, because they are trained liers.

There are levels of lies, White lies/lesser/medium/big/high/gargantuan/galatic/infinite you get it, it's about the level of the lies. Trump tell a lot of smaller lies, he brags about things and lies during the brag, Hillarys are more serious. Hillary has lots of baggage and that much anyone can tell.

Not surprising but again, as I said, always possible. I knew the tax one, and with the deficit they, the US, have, he shouldn't have done it. On that note, they will just inflate the debt away to nothing of what it's worth, like they have been doing for the last decade at least. They need to raise taxes on the rich not lower them, a massive amount from their current levels, any good billionaire cat get out of most of them anyway - and yes that sucks hard!

Fossil fuel companies, NRA, etc.
Again, I don't like that he's that close to the fossil fuel industry and iroding environmental protections - another couple of disk moves. As you are finding out, there is a LOT that I don't like about him.

I don't mind about the NRA, I'm a fan of the constitution and 2nd amendment which the DEMS and left are massively against. I don't like guns, I would never carry one if I could, but I don't want to stop other people having one. In the US if you take the legal guns off of people that will leave only the criminals with them - look at Chicago as an example!

Floppy disk? :D
Another slip of the finger and all that ;)

I don't like it at all as it stinks and the 'optics' are terrible. I wouldn't have done it but Trump doesn't give a hoot about it it seams..

I think it's more a sign of the times. Back in the early 2000's this forum was a much more friendly place and it was a joy to read. Now it's common to be attacked with no proof of their thinking ad-infinitum. People are a lot more polorised in general and I think this as a result of society as a whole gone are the days when you could all just get on.

Sitting behind a computer screen sometimes 10's/100's of miles between them emboldens people to attack each other when, if together they wouldn't dare.

When a place start to lean a certain way it is hard to stop it as the people under duress just chose to go elsewhere - thus increasing polorisation.

Like wise, someone can show not to hate Trump but not be a Trump supporter.
People confuse me for a Trump supporter, I still don't think I am.

Out of all the people in the 2016 running I chose Bernie Sanders, but he wasn't allowed to run because of the DNC corruption, so that turned me off of the democrats.

As proved by now I do not like a lot of Trumps policies, some of which I know full well during the election, but again - he was the better candidate!

I do like the way trump Trolls people, and I think he come across well/likable - especially when taking pops at people.

It's just a coincidence you do the only thing you like about him. Funny that. Just in case any one missed it...
One is a war mongering psychopath and the other is a cool, if not slightly insensitive, funny, magnetic person that has American interests first.
I don't think I have ever heard someone describe Trump as cool, not even his most ardent supporters.
