What fad from your childhood/teenage years used to be "in" but now has vanished?

Chopper was more a seventies bike. Grifter 80s along with its little brother the Striker, I think it was called.
70's: Chopper <Teen / Budgie < Kiddy one / Chippy Infant one

80's: Grifter < Teen / Boxer < kiddy one / (Do not think they had a smaller one)
I don't think the Grifter was out for very long before BMX's took over

Reading through this thread I can relate to plenty of them, but then it got me thinking could the reason that they can't be found now be because I'm 30 and without children? I have no clue what kids play with, what they watch, what's in with kids. They could easily be playing with Yo-Yos, trading pokemon cards for all I know.

@MookJong This one.

I'm not gonna ride on it anymore I was just generally confused what you were on about.

Is anyone else completely lost here, for the love of god will you please state what it is you were confused about because at the moment it just looks like you are trolling me for no reason.

Do you think that @MookJong is linking to something, because it is not. We don't know what you are talking about!

Ha ha, no you're not alone. I'm rather interested in the mystery now. As you say though, he's still not just quoting what he's asking about, so maybe he's just trolling.

I quoted you in my last post. regarding your dads scout army knife, THAT was the post what lost me. I have no interest to troll.

This post:
About my Dads Scouts knife in the 60s?

After you said this:
Oh no, everyone loves nostalgia and talking about the world before globalisation and the internet took over.

Seemingly MASSIVE 10 an 50 pence pieces. Even the 5p had some heft to it back then. Actual pound notes used to be a thing too.

Geography teachers having the confidence to administer arbitrary beatings with a hardback atlas without the remotest fear of disciplinary or legal action.

Them pink tablets they used to give you as a kid to chew before the regional dental nurse came round for a school visit.

Having to rely on searching the lay-bys on the A46 for access to soft core porn, and spending ages carefully teasing the rain soaked pages apart and hanging to dry.
