Far Cry New Dawn and New Graphics card help.

Hello

I just installed Far cry new dawn and it has set the graphics to low as my GFX card is only a Radeon RX 460. 2GB

As you can see the VRAM is nearly all used up dont think it would run right on medium settings.

Im thinking of buying this GFX card next - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-...ddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-362-ms.html

Would that run the game ok and latest pc games?

What's the rest of system? IBM xt 4mhz with 512k of ram and a 10mb hard drive?

Windows 10 Home 64-bit
AMD FX-6 6300 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) 6 cores
16gb DDR3
ATI Radeon RX 460 Graphics (2GB)

RTX isn't really worth it at the moment for me. You'd be better getting a gpu from AMD that costs less, while performing around the same minus the RT support, and using money saved towards upgrading CPU etc.

Grab a 2060 KO from evga for under 300 quid. Way better value than say the 2070.

Anything above a 1650 super will be a waste of money for you while having that CPU. I'd say instead of a 2070 change your platform first (CPU+Mobo+Ram) and maybe look for a cheap used 570/580/590 from AMD (eg 4GB 570s go for £50-£75). It will do you MUCH better, and you can still sell your current setup for a bit as well to off-set the costs.

Agreed. Sort the underpinnings of your system out first by getting a new motherboard, CPU, and memory.

Hello

Im getting a error when loading far cry in screenshot.

I restarted my pc and tried running it again and worked and it downloaded a update for uplay.

From a quick Google - try reinstalling uplay.

As for the gfx card either do as above and sort your base system out, or for a cheap performance boost get a used gtx980 from ebay for around £100.
