I'm running latest drivers on a Gigabyte 5700 XT (triple fan thingy). It will hit mid 80's on junction temperature when pushing it hard in an old Antec case, so case cooling isn't the best. It will auto undervolt without issue. It will auto overclock without issue. Radeon Chill works well and keeps overall temps down (I game at 60hz on a 1440P screen - Yeah I know I need to catch up). No black screens, etc.

Overall I am very pleased with the card. I have only had one issue when Battlefront 1 crashed once, but it sorted itself out. I like the UI and the tools available. Having been in the green camp for many years I'm pleased I made the move to AMD - 2070 S performance (+/- on some titles) for a significant price difference.

Good to hear. Using a 5700 XT AE myself here without any issues.

Radeon 5700xt. Unable to load ghost recon breakpoint. And occasional crash to desktop on AC odyssey.

Coming from a r9 390 (to the ROG 5700xt - with the dodgy screws:rolleyes:) I had multiple issues with driver crashes even after DDU in safe mode etc. After formatting and reinstalling W10 only Battlefield V seems to suffer from driver crashes, but this only happens when I load up ROG Armoury before going into the game.

Everything else I've tried so far (breakpoint, rtw 2, GTA IV, other BF games) work fine.

As GN has pointed out, I think the AMD drivers for the 5700s are quite sensitive to other programs. It's just very hit and miss.

Those issues are with the games themselves. Although some don't even have any problems. They have nothing to do with this thread nor is it part of the topic of this thread. In the future how about you check with the game first!

What’s your stock core clock and what is the difference between gpu temp and junction temp under load?

My current driver (19.11.1) sets 2039/1171 @ stock. It used to be 2084/1200 when I first had the card. This is a data sample from Superposition 1080p extreme, towards the end of the run:

Nice job!

Did you use GPU-Z for gathering that data?

what was the power limit at for these runs? I will assume 0.

Hey Panos,

What's the noise level like on these cards please mate?

Only the moving air can be heard. No fan noise or anything else and on same levels as the V64 Nitro or the GTX1080Ti Xtreme or the GTX1080 Armor.
As wrote several times, the 5700XT reference cooler is pretty quiet nothing like the Vega 64 cooler or the GTX980Ti cooler. Those were pretty loud with the fan screaming.
Assuming you do not shove your head in the case or have a microphone to measure the air coming from the back, on the usual position my PC is (to the side and under the desk), there is barely 29db (ear level with the mobile app to take measure) while gaming with stock fan speed. And using TT P3 case, which is pretty open.

@LtMatt could add to my post.

Thanks, that's very helpful, just trying to decide if I go for the stock cooler or an aftermarket model?

I had reference Vega 64. Couldn't stand the fan noise for more than a week while waiting the waterblock to cool it. Same applies to a lesser extend for the V64 Nitro, GTX1080 Armor which watercooled also. I have the 5700XT waterblock in it's box since Augustu as haven't used it. I believe that might say something. :)
