I run 2 of them stacked (with conical silicon bumpers) running PoE on both. Seem fine without fans so long as you allow them to breathe with space around them.

This one has gone in the front room. Well it will when I can move better. It’ll be linked via OC3 fibre to the office, garage and loft.

We used to get that a lot back in the old CRT tv days.... Fuse in plug ok. But the 0.2 amp in the TV would obviously blow first..

Hmm I think my cloud key is hosed. I get the login splash screen, but when I try to click manage the controller website fails to load.

I've restarted the service and restored a backup via ssh and nothing... any thoughts?

I went through a stage of buying TV’s from my old work returned as a blown set. Like you say that glass fuse was cause all the time.

The blue light on one of my switches is faded far worse than the other, so time to disable them!

Really bugs me, happens with the APs as well, the blue lights fade really quickly.

Might be poo-pooed.
Do you have remote access? Could try running an update via ssh?

Sigh. Finally got my CK rebooted and able to log in, restored a backup... guess what.

It hasn't worked. A brand new CK to setup.

I was close to buying a gen2 CK... I might just bite the bullet and do that now and then set everything up (again) when it arrives.

Given that my network is running just fine at present.

Just updated my UDM-Pro to 1.6.5 rc10, all seems good at the mo but I wont have chance to fully test till tomorrow.

Try a completely new Micro SD card. Unless the backup is corrupted then it can pretty much only be the Micro SD card.

Well, just like anything ubiquiti.... what the hell? Got sick of trying to restore different backups last night so went to bed. This morning? Guess what. Its back up and working.

Again, if it’s getting flakey I’d replace the Micro SD card. It’s the only ‘moving’ part in the UCK and it’s the single biggest source of issues in my experience. Either it runs out of space (and crashes) or the RAM on the card just fails from too many read/write operations. In either case, it can’t reliably load the data it needs and the UCK appears to fall over.

Yeah its good advice, I've ordered one to replace it. Means I dont have to spend quite so much on the CKgen2 yet, that can wait a year or so.

It just doesn't work as well/efficient. The radiation pattern is designed primarily for ceiling mounting.

but how bad is it? I have a nanoHD wall mounted and wondering if i should swap it out.

Alternatively mount it downstairs and sell the AC Pro for a wall mounted version.
