We're doing a 5 day /4 night canal boat holiday around Stourport on Severn in July. Just me and the o/h.
I'm *hoping* for a lovely chilled out few days enjoying the sun pootling up the canal and finding some nice waterside pubs to enjoy in the evening.
I'm fully expecting mega angst with the missus getting super stressed about everything, particularly me crashing the boat and the dreaded locks.

Ve vil see!

How did you find the Sensatori in Mexico? We've just booked two weeks there later in the year. We stayed at our first sensatori last year in Rhodes and absolutely loved it. 10 days of laying out in the sun, reading and drinking and doing naff all else

im not one for sun at all (ginger) but i had a great time doing exactly that, sitting in on a beech bed drinking and just chilling.

The sea and beech was full of seaweed but they have people clearing it best they can, you can still go in the water. all the restauraunts where great. we will be going back in the future.

Just booked a week on Terceira Island in the Azores at the end of May. Had no idea where it was, but looks like such a different place. Flights were cheap so booked and then realised it was in the middle of nowhere, but it looks amazingly nice. Nice outdoors stuff like horse riding and whale watching should be great.

Any further info about the BA sale you refer to would be greatly appreciated. Does it run every year? BA is only the airline, surly they don’t do package deals with hotel included?

BA do sales on both package deals and flight only. The sales tend to be January and September and occasionally a couple of days in June. I’ve booked two holidays with BA in the last couple of years because they tended to be cheaper than Virgin particularly on long haul and there is nothing wrong with the service.

Looking at this myself for the family what hotel would you recommend?

We stayed at the Tamaimo Tropical which seemed to cater primarily for a French clientele. We weren’t impressed with the food or the drinks. The room was ok but you got your drinks in silly little plastic cups which meant the queues for the bars were always massive.

Balance is now due on our trip to Montenegro in May. And we've booked and paid for a little Portugal trip next month. Got a bad feeling the Portugal trip may be off with everything going on, maybe both.

Was also looking at a weekend in San Sebastien in June, surprise for the missus, but have shelved that for the moment .

Finland road trip still on for July.

San Sebastien, what a great place, went there for New Year 3 years back, we stayed with some people we know, so they showed us all the good local places to eat and got to see some traditional family/friends gatherings they hold for food and socialising, this place is food heaven and its also a very relaxing place to wonder around.

Two weeks in Greece.

First on a 14m yacht with an instructor so my wife and I get day skipper qualified. Then a week just the four of us sailing around the Ionian.

Sounds great.
We had a villa in Sami, Kefalonia the other year. All the yachts & catamarans pulling in on private charters looked pretty good.
Deffo something I'd look to do in future years.
