Not sure I'd trust a new 3xxx card on 10nm or whatever, wait for the supers at least. I'm OK with my 5820k and 2070super for now I think

That 10nm news, has it been confirmed? Seems like fake news to me. End of the day we get 3 years warranty so I don’t see the issue. Any issues in the first 14 days and I would get a full refund anyways. No point in waiting on supers, there is no guarantee there will be any.

I dunno since I settled with 2070super I've not took much notice of gfx cards. After my 5700xt adventures I don't trust the warrantys from anyone, rma is not a nice experience, I'm still annoyed by it lol

Stick with companies like GigaByte and EVGA imo. Which company did you have issues with? I have had a bad experience with Palit. Never again.

Unless something comes out that performs at 2080S - 2080ti levels for £300-400 max I'll not be bothering.

Although I need to do a full system update at some point in the next year or so anyway, chances are I'll wait until Christmas or January.

Bought most of my bits (3900x) during the last Black Friday. Only built the machine last Friday however I’m still yet to get the graphic card as I was waiting on a new release. Currently running my old card.

well given the current glodal situation, and the fact that gtc keynote has been canned, i doubt any posible new gpu's are most likley delayed, couple that with the financial crash, prices of current tech and everyday items is going to get a lot more expensive until the situation gets better.

i had plans to get a next gen gpu from nvidia/amd but i have a 2080ti and that demolishes most games at 1440p, will look closer the christmas possible next year for a gpu upgrade, hell even a cpu if 4th gen ryzen too if is worth it.

I finally bit the bullet and upgraded this week from my trusty 3930k CPU, 16 gig of 2400 ram, Rampage Extreme IV Motherboard and corsair 600t case

to

Ryzen 3600, 16 gig of 3600 ram, X570 Aorus Elite motherboard, Sabrent PCIe Gen 4 500gig nvme and a new Metallicgear Neo Qube case. Just started the build this week but it's nice to have new gear to tinker with that's my own and not for a customer.

Keeping my SSD's, cablemod custom cables, g2 750W psu and Vega 64 Strix gpu.

A)

Will stick with Ryzen 2600 and Vega 56 until late 2021 at least, did a new build in June 2019, so I donlt really need anything. Might skip right through to Ryzen 5.

3700X and a 1080 here. No interest in 2080/ti, but considering a incremental upgrade to a 1080ti to give a little more headroom for another year or so.

Selling the 1080 and buying a Ti shouldn't cost a lot.

I'm:

C) Only upgrading for 100%+ performance

List current card/resolution/target FPS:
GTX 1070 ti
1080p
144hz

My card struggles to run Anno 1800 once the game is well underway, I'd like to go UW too, so I'll need more than 100% performance increase at a minimum.

Not too fussed at the moment, run a 1080/2700X @ 1440p 144hz GSync and generally its fine. Do have to turn settings down on most things but IQ still ok.

Quite fancy an ultrawide so if I go that route I may need to upgrade.

Sticking with the same basic components unless fortune blesses me with opportunities to upgrade MB, CPU and GPU... ideally with waterblocks to match.
However, I already doubled my RAM and bumped it to 3200MHz earlier this year. I might finally get around to swapping my GTs for ML120s and getting some better rads to match.

I'll be upgrading for Cyberpunk.

Currently on 6700k/GTX1080/1440. Definitely getting either a 3070 or 3080 depending on price/performance, and may upgrade the CPU to 3900X (or the 4000 series depending on how far away its launch is when I upgrade).
