how does this look compatibility/choice wise?

not a serious gamer but want something with plenty headroom - 1920*1200 monitor
want to mess about with adobe premiere - again not serious just want it to work smoothly

Scrap that silver overhype gunk, which hasn't been any top paste in long long time.
Instead you should be using that money toward actually better cooler if wanting better temperatures.

If going past £100 you should start looknig toward 32GB.

Samsung brand overprices their drives and 860 QVO is level weaker tech QLC Flash drive at price of TLC Flash drive.

I just added the artic silver because it popped up as a suggestion

would this drive work with the Tomahawk motherboard... https://www.overclockers.co.uk/teamgroup-mp34-1tb-nvme-pcie-m.2-solid-state-drive-hd-00b-tg.html , and is it any good? I hadn't looked at drives too much (still not sure on all the different kinds) but see the m.2/nvme ones are much faster

I'll just stick to 16BG ram I think... would you usually use 4x8 or 2x16 if going for 32gb?
