Help me identify a game

I have this game in my head from my childhood that I want to find again.

It's in the SNES/Mega Drive era. The game is

1 - Side scroller
2 - You are a mech or in a mech
3 - Lots of shooting
4 - Pixel art style
5 - Single player mainly, I don't think there is a 2-player.

I can't seem to find it. Help?
