RAM speed on B450 Mortar Max

According to the latest info from MSI That RAM isn't on the supported list https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450M-MORTAR-MAX#support-mem-14
Not sure how important that is.

It doesn't seem to be important at all, given that the RAM is now working at 3200MHz without any issues. It looks like this was 100% a PEBKAC issue in the end...

Sweet! I always knew I spent too much time trawling through those lists! at the end of the day they're only reporting on RAM they've tested! doesn't mean it's no good if it's not on the list, just means it's not on the list.

I did the same when I was at the stage of thinking the RAM was no good for this board/CPU!

I spent easily an hour painstakigly comparing manufacturer product codes from the OcUK product listings against the MSI RAM compatibility page (not easy when some codes are for single sticks and some for dual channel kits!) - only to find that the problem was my fault all along for leaving a loose connection somewhere!
