Yep. All cards are about 20% too expensive (at least, the rtx2080ti still remains about 40% too high across the board, especially considering how old tech their becoming) and im baffled with the 9900ks, wasent this like £500 when it came out? Where is the deal?

Not sure how everyone will afford stuff now considering many are on 80% wages/have to wait til 1st June or losing their job for the forseeable future. Suppose numpties actually save money as they wont pay mortgage, secured loans, credit cards etc for a few months so many maybe quids in and worry about paying bills back later.

Feb 2020 -

Prices relative to earning have been rising for years. It's going to get a lot worse. We'll be paying for this lockdown through higher taxes and prices for many years to come. I think that's another reason Intel are in big trouble, they just can't offer value for money to the mass market. It'll be AMD or console for the average person.

Mind you Gibbo mentioned in the main deals thread (top of forum) that they have sold a number of the 9900KS already....
Patter.

He's hardly going to say 'guys we're struggling to sell any of these because the prices are too high'.

Everyone understands though that OcUK are a business and Gibbo's job is to shift stuff any way he can, but deals these are not.

You know it's not a real deal when there's only one half-hearted exclamation point in the headline.

Real deals have at least three!!!

Disgusting prices on Turing... not even the top end model (2080 Super) is more expensive than what was even a ridiculous price at the time ( at least you were getting the best at the time) GTX Titan. I don't know how people are justifying £800+ for a 8GB card nearly half way through 2020.... I've got a 1080 and although it has the graphics grunt to run doom eternal 4k ultra nightmare, the 8gb holds it back and it starts to stutter at times... same for NFS payback....

Well you only need to look at the website, they were 10+ (we had 15 left), now down to 6, when your the only reseller in the world with Intel's best gaming CPU, they command a premium.

People here think the deals are not great, that is fair enough because during Black Friday the deals were better and of course they were better, stronger pound, much cheaper freight shipment. There is a pandemic on which has crashed the pound value and freight charges have double to tripled from some companies/regions, however they are deals and were busier than we were during Black Friday/Christmas so the general public find them very appealing.

However this card in particular is an exceptional deal:

MSI Radeon RX 5700 Gaming X 8GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card @ £299.99 inc VAT https://www.overclockers.co.uk/MSI-...DDR6-PCI-Express-Graphics-Card-GX-366-MS.html

RX 5700 GAMING X, Core Clock: 1610MHz, Boost Clock: 1750MHz, Memory: 8192MB 14000MHz GDDR6, Stream Processors: 2304, DirectX 12 Support, Vulkan Support, RDNA, Freesync 2 HDR support, 3yr Warran
Only £299.99 inc VAT.

Just quoting what was said in the other thread.I have no horse in the race as I find the 9900KS at £989 to be bizarre choice when you can get the 3950X, decent x570 board and 16GB of DDR4 for less..

OCUK can only play with their own margins and feedback to vendors about pricing.

The terminology is inflammatory though using words like deal, owned, killer, stunning, crushed etc implies something large in most peoples mind when in reality its translating to something pretty small.

tldr these are price reductions not deals
