I have an LG 34" 144hz which uses nano IPS, its very good but I like new and shiny things

I have tried a TN panel 240hz, the alienware one and the colours were awful, I felt sick playing it

I see theres an LG 38" 175hz which looks good, and would cost me 500 extra if I sold my current one

are there any 240hz IPS monitors worth checking out, or is it just marketing hype?

I mainly play FPS games

There is some motion clarity benefit to be had by moving to 240 Hz, compared with 144 Hz. It’s not as significant as when moving from 60, but there are still some benefits. The main issue with 240 Hz IPS at the moment is that they are limited to 1080p, and so you’ll be sacrificing some resolution if you want to go that route. The Asus TUF Gaming Vg279QM is a good bet if you want to consider the change,

The LG 38GL950G is an excellent screen and def worth a look too
